JENN'S PRIORITIES FOR MALDEN'S FUTURE

REVITALIZE OUR LOCAL ECONOMY

We need to bring life back to empty storefronts, support local businesses, attract new restaurants and destinations and make Malden a place where people want to shop, dine, work and spend time. I will prioritize strengthening relationships with existing businesses and make it easier for responsible development to succeed.

SMART DEVELOPMENT

I will plan for growth that benefits the residents of Malden. We need to balance housing needs with infrastructure, traffic, parking, schools and open space. Development should be part of a THOUGHTFUL long-term vision and not just a collection of disconnected projects.

TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY & RESPONSIBLE SPENDING

I will put residents FIRST by making city finances and major decisions easier to understand. We need to strengthen financial oversight, evaluate all contracts  and expenditures, measure results and make sure taxpayer dollars are used responsibility and in the best interest of residents.

STRONG SCHOOLS, STRONGER FUTURES

I will continue fighting for the fair and equitable state funding our schools deserve and hold our legislators accountable to the commitments they have made to Malden. Our students should not have to compete for the resources they need to succeed, and our community should not have to keep asking for what it is owed.

No more rolling out the red carpet for promises without results. Malden deserves action, meaningful representation, and legislators who will stand up for our residents and deliver for our schools.

Our children’s futures are too important for anything less.

CLEAN, SAFE & WELL-MAINTAINED NEIGHBORHOODS

It's time we prioritize sidewalks, potholes, streetlights, trees, parks, and public spaces. Improve communication about service requests and hold departments accountable for timely follow-through. Residents should see and feel the difference in their everyday lives.
